QUESTIONS?

Will my monthly bill look different than the quarterly ones?

No, the bills look the same, but they cover a shorter period of time.

Do I have to pay any fees if I decide to pay online or using the phone?

No. There are no additional fees for customers who use online or phone payments. You can use your credit card, debit card, checking or savings account to pay online or via phone.

My first monthly bill is higher than my quarterly bills. What is going on?

If your first monthly bill is higher than your quarterly bills, that is probably because you have a past due balance on your account. The first monthly bill arrives 30 days after the last quarterly bill and if you haven’t yet settled the quarterly bill, your past due balance will appear on the first monthly bill.

When do monthly bills become past due?

This does not change. Just like quarterly bills, monthly bills become due within 20 days of the bill date.

A water main is broken. Where can I report the problem?

Call the emergency phone line at 216-664-3060 and provide as much information as possible.

I was out of town and I didn’t use any water in the past months, but I still received a water bill. Why?

Even if you do not use any water in a given period of time, you still have to pay the minimum charge to maintain water service to your property.

My water bill contains incorrect information. How can I correct it?

Call the Customer Service at 216-664-3130 or click here to report any issues with incorrect information.

I want to fill my pool, but I’m not sure if it will be counted in my sewer bill.

Yes, pool water eventually drains through the sewer, which means that it will be billed as part of your sewer service.

My water looks cloudy, discolored or has a strange odor. Who should I call?

If you have any doubts or questions about the quality of water, call 216-664-3160 during normal hours of operation. If you’re calling outside of normal business hours, call 216-664-3060. Engineering Hydraulics Service Office deals with all water quality questions and problems. Please provide as much information as possible about the issue that you’re reporting.

A person claiming to be a representative of Cleveland Water has come to my home. How can I identify him?

The Cleveland water employees are obliged to wear a photo identification badge with a Cleveland Water logo. Always ask to see the badge before you allow the person to enter your home.

I’m a senior citizen and I’m not sure if I can get a bill discount. Who can help me?

The Customer Service department. Call 216-664-3130 or go here for more information.

Who should I call if I want to turn on or off my water service?

If I move, am I still responsible for the balance of the previous owner?

No, you take over the responsibility on the day the title is transferred. You can call the Customer Service at 216-664-3130 for more information about the transfer process.

I can’t find my water bill. What should I do?

If you lose your bill, you can contact the Cleveland Water Customer Service to request a duplicate bill. Their number is 216-664-3130.

I’ve fallen behind on my water bills. Can Cleveland Water help me pay them?
