The Cleveland Water Department supports online payments with credit, debit cards, checking and savings accounts. They also support payments via phone, mail and in person. However, they do not accept any cash by mail. Scroll down to the payment section of this page and find out how you can pay your water bills.

Online Bill Pay
Make online payments to the Cleveland Water Department at my.clevelandwater.com using a Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express or bank account checking or savings. You can also view your water bill and set up auto draft payments.
Payments to the Cleveland Water Dept can be made by using their automated calling system at 216-446-6834. Please have your credit or debit card ready before calling.

Make payments on your Cleveland Water Company account by visiting the main office. Bring your billing statement with you when you pay in person. Be aware that no cash payments will be accepted on Saturday.

No cash payments will be accepted on Saturdays.
If your water service has been disconnected, Cleveland Water will not accept personal checks to restore service on Saturdays.

In January, 2017, Cleveland Water switched from quarterly to monthly billing to help their customers better manage their payments, monitor their water usage and notice potential leaks earlier.
Cleveland Water offers various discount programs to its customers. This includes the Homestead Discount Program, the Affordability Program and the Summer Sprinkling Program. If you want to participate in the Homestead Discount Program, you will need to confirm that you: 1) are 65 years old or disabled; 2) possess your own property; 3) have an annual income less than $33,500. To apply for this program, fill out this form and send it to Cleveland Water.
To participate in the Affordability Program, you will need to live at the applying service address and meet the following household income criteria. If you have any questions about the Affordability program, contact CHN Housing Partners at 216-574-7100.
The Summer Sprinkling Program only refers to sewer bills. Consumers typically use more water during the summer months and this program calculates the summer bills based on the average winter consumption, unless your summer water usage is lower. This program runs from May,1 to September, 30. To qualify for this program, you need to have at least one family home. If you want to participate in this program, call 216-881-8247 to speak to the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District’s Customer Service.
If want to request a hearing to dispute your water bill or termination of service, fill out this form and send it to Cleveland Water within 10 days of the receipt of the termination notice. Be aware that the form must be completed by the person who is financially responsible for the bill.
